Preparing for your first roast with the Aillio Bullet R2 is straightforward. First, run a seasoning cycle to burn off manufacturing oils and smells. Load about 300g of green coffee and roast at medium power.
In RoasTime 4, you'll see the IBTS (bean temperature) and Drum Temperature graphs change over time. The goal for your first roast is to reach First Crack — typically occurring when IBTS reaches around 195-205°C depending on the coffee.
After First Crack, you can continue roasting for 1-2 more minutes to reach your desired development level. When done, press the cooling button and let the beans cool completely before storing. Congratulations — you've completed your first roast!
